Faith Lutheran School News

Dear Parents and Guardians,

If your child has not already returned their Read-A-Thon minutes, please bring them in ASAP. We will announce winners tomorrow. Pledge money is due back next week. We have only had a few students turn in their forms so far.

This week is the last week of the book fair. The fair will be open until 3:30 today and Wednesday. We will stay open until 5:30 on Thursday and will have drawings for free books and special “I Can Read S’more” snacks for those who attend!

Tomorrow is our “Moving On Up” day. Students entering Kindergarten at Faith Lutheran School and older students who are advancing to new classrooms will spend the morning with their new teachers. If you know someone interested in attending FLS next year, please invite them to join us tomorrow. We look forward to a fun-filled day! If you have not already turned your registration forms in for next year, please do so as soon as possible. Our classes are filling up quickly!

Vision screenings will be held Thursday for our preschool and kindergarten students. Please return the form coming home today only if you do NOT want your child to have a vision screening.

In Christ,

Faith Lutheran School Staff

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We have a couple of quick reminders this morning! There is no school or day care tomorrow in recognition of Good Friday. Day care will be available on Monday.

You are cordially invited to Faith Lutheran’s Easter services and breakfast. There is a sunrise service at North Park at 6 a.m. followed by a breakfast at the church at 7:15. A free-will offering will be taken at the breakfast for Pastor Richard Schlueter, who is battling pancreatic cancer. If you would like to make a donation but are unable to attend, you may bring it to the school office. There is also an Easter worship service at 10:15 a.m.

Read-A-Thon minutes should be turned in Tuesday. Winners will be announced on Wednesday. Pledges are due the following week. Thank you for your assistance with the book fair and the Read-A-Thon!

Our annual “Moving on Up” day is next Wednesday, April 19. This will serve as our kindergarten roundup and give students an opportunity to visit their classes for next year. If you know of someone planning to enroll at Faith Lutheran School next year, please invite them to attend!

Have a blessed Easter.

In Christ,

Faith Lutheran School Staff

Dear Parents,

Lifeline is organizing a “Celebration Children’s Choir” for this year’s Walk for Life. If your child is interested in participating, you can sign up in the office or with Mrs. AuBuchon. Rehearsals will be held on Saturday April 22, Saturday May 6, Saturday May 20 at 11:30 a.m., and Friday June 2 at 7 p.m. at Life Church. The Walk for Life is Saturday, June 3 at 10 a.m. at Brashear Park.

We are in need of used tennis balls. If you have any that have lost their bounce, please bring them to the school office. Thank you!

On April 19, we will be hosting our annual “Moving on Up” day for students who will be entering kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades next year. They will have the opportunity to spend the morning in their new classrooms! More information will be sent home soon.

In Christ,

Faith Lutheran School Staff
